ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Christian Benner is a New York-based fashion designer that made his name by crafting perfectly distressed leather jackets and tees that are inspired by punk music and the accompanying DIY ethos. After cutting his teeth as a merchandiser for Victoria’s Secret, Benner went to work for What Goes Around Comes Around, where he started taking used tees and subjecting them to a punishing deconstruction process. The resulting pieces caught the eye of buyers and soon after, he struck out on his own, launching his namesake Christian Benner ready-to-wear line in 2012.
